Bidspirit auction | An Assortment of Vintage Stag
An Assortment of Vintage Stag and Bone Handled Cutlery and Folding Knives - A collection of vintage cutlery and pocket knives featuring natural handle materials including stag antler, bone, and wood. The set includes multiple carving forks and sharpening steels. One sharpening steel is a professional German-made tool featuring a ribbed steel rod and a heavy cast brass handle with an integral finger guard and a large circular hanging ring at the pommel. Other serving pieces feature natural stag antler handles with metal ferrules and end caps, while two forks have smooth cream-colored handles, possibly bone or celluloid, accented by silver-tone ferrules. The group also contains two folding pocket knives. One is a Buck 110 folding hunter knife constructed with brass bolsters, liners, and dark wood scales, fitted with a stainless steel clip point blade. The second is a large single-blade folding knife with cream-colored bone scales secured by pins and a single nickel-silver bolster. The German sharpening steel blade is impressed with a right-pointing arrow device above the name F. DICK and the phrase Made in Germany. The Buck knife tang is stamped with BUCK 110 X U.S.A. The second pocket knife features an inset rectangular metal shield on the handle which bears no legible engraving; any marks on its rusted tang are not readable. No other maker marks are visible on the remaining carving tools.
