A Collection of 19th Century Cast Iron Teakettles and a Hanging Griddle - A group of antique cast iron cookware consisting of three graduated teakettles and a circular hanging griddle plate. Each teakettle features a bulbous body with a fitted domed lid, a decorative finial, and an arched swing handle. The vessels are equipped with goose-neck spouts, and the largest kettle is reinforced with heart-shaped attachments at the handle terminals. A small circular hole is visible on the lid of the medium-sized kettle, likely intended for steam ventilation. The accompanying griddle is a flat, circular plate designed with a high-arched swing handle and a central suspension hook for use over an open hearth. All pieces are finished in a uniform matte black coating. No maker marks, brand names, or model numbers are readable on any of the items in the collection.
