Two Gilt Metal and Crystal Set Animal Form Trinket Boxes - This lot comprises two contemporary hinged trinket boxes in the form of an elephant and a giraffe. Both items are constructed from gold-tone base metal. The elephant is depicted in a low, charging pose and is entirely encrusted with clear faceted crystals, featuring green stones for the eyes and polished metal ears and tusks. The giraffe is shown in a standing pose, decorated with orange enamel spots and inset with clear faceted crystals along the neck and body. Both boxes feature a hinged opening with a magnetic closure and have interiors finished with a pearlescent cream-coloured enamel lining. No maker's marks or signatures are visible on either piece.
