Bidspirit auction | Antique Victorian cast brass horse

Antique Victorian cast brass horse chestnut leaf and nut inkwell - This charming Victorian cast brass desk accessory is designed in the naturalistic form of a horse chestnut leaf with a hinged nut husk serving as the inkwell. The base features five detailed leaflets with realistic veining, while the central husk opens to reveal a well that retains remnants of its historical use. The base of the interior well displays circular cast patterns and dark surface residue, but no legible maker's marks or registration numbers are visible.
