Struck by The Royal Mint in .925 sterling silver, the reverse design by the Royal Mint Engraving Team depicts the Hawker Harrier jump jet from two perspectives—head-on and in profile—set against a grid-lined background with a colour-applied Royal Air Force roundel. The reverse is inscribed with the aircraft name HARRIER and the denomination FIVE POUNDS. The obverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by designer Raphael Maklouf.
