A Louis XVI Style Painted and Gilt Square Marble Top Occasional Table - A 20th-century decorative occasional table in the French Louis XVI revival style. The square top is constructed from a thick slab of solid marble with a rounded edge, showing cream and beige tones with grey and tan veining. The wooden frame is finished in an off-white paint with an intentional heavy craquelure effect and gilded highlights. The apron is decorated with a central relief carving of a floral swag consisting of roses and foliage, hand-painted in pastel shades of pink, yellow, and green. The corners of the apron feature carved square rosettes. The table is supported by four tapered, fluted legs with decorative gadrooned collars at the shoulders and feet, also accented with gilding and green paint. There are no maker's marks or labels present.
