The hilt and scabbard are constructed from light-coloured wood, featuring deep relief carvings of scrolling floral designs. The cast metal fittings, including the guard, pommel, and scabbard mounts, are finished in a brass tone and decorated with relief-cast motifs of birds and foliage.
