Sir Winston Churchill and Battle of Britain Commemorative Walking Cane - A commemorative walking cane honouring Sir Winston Churchill and the Battle of Britain. The handle is constructed from a moulded, cream-coloured resin designed to simulate carved ivory, featuring a deep relief design on both sides. One face depicts a portrait of Sir Winston Churchill wearing a top hat and performing his iconic V for Victory hand gesture, surrounded by a decorative border and the text SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL and the dates 1874 - 1965. The reverse side features a relief of a Supermarine Spitfire aircraft flying over a textured surface representing the sea, with the inscriptions SPITFIRE and BATTLE OF BRITAIN. The handle is mounted to a tapered wooden shaft with a dark finish. A metal collar sits between the handle and the shaft, bearing several small stamped marks. The stick terminates in a metal ferrule at the base.
