A Chinese Style Opal Cloisonne Enamel Thousand Flowers Lidded Urn - This lidded urn is decorated using the cloisonne technique, featuring a dense thousand flowers or millefiori pattern. The exterior surface is covered with small, multi-petaled blossoms in shades of off-white and cream. The enamel is fused within wire cells on a metal body, likely a brass alloy. The lid is separate and finished with matching decoration. The interior of the vessel and the underside of the base are finished in a traditional turquoise-blue counter-enamel. A small white paper label with the handwritten characters 713 is adhered to the base. No impressed or painted maker marks are visible.
