The obverse features the right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, indicated by the initials IRB. Inscriptions on the obverse read SOLOMON ISLANDS, HALF DOLLAR, and 2,5 g FINE SILVER 999, with the LEV mint mark contained within a diamond at the base.
