A Collection of International Banknotes and Ephemera Including Weimar Republic Hyperinflationary Notes and a British Postal Order - An assortment of international banknotes and postal ephemera spanning the early 20th century to the contemporary period. The collection includes a Weimar Republic 10,000 Mark Reichsbanknote dated 19 January 1922 and a partial German note dated 1 September 1923. Contemporary currency is represented by a Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe 10 ZiG note, serial number AA0906978, featuring a QR code and vertical serial numbering. African and Middle Eastern banknotes include a Somali 1,000 Shilling note dated 1990 (serial 970452), Libyan 1 Dinar notes depicting Muammar Gaddafi, and Mauritanian 200 and 5000 Ouguiya notes from the Banque Centrale de Mauritanie. The lot also contains a British Postal Order for five shillings, stamped at Dover, Kent, on 12 March 1964. The notes feature various security printing techniques including complex guilloché patterns, watermarks, and security threads.
