A Collection of UK George V Silver Threepence Coins, 1920-1921 - A collection of United Kingdom threepence coins dating from 1920 and 1921. These coins are struck in .500 fine silver, a composition adopted during the 1920 debasement of British silver currency from the previous sterling standard. The obverse of each coin features the left-facing profile of King George V surrounded by the Latin legend GEORGIVS V D.G.BRITT:OMN:REX F.D.IND:IMP:. The reverse design displays a crowned numeral 3 centrally positioned within a wreath of oak leaves and acorns, with the date divided on either side of the numeral.
