Authentic Campo del Cielo Iron Meteorite Fragment in Display Slab - This lot consists of a small metallic fragment of the Campo del Cielo iron meteorite, originating from the Chaco Province in Argentina. The meteorite impact is estimated to have occurred around 2200 BC. The specimen is a micromount exhibiting a dark, irregular, unpolished surface characteristic of iron-nickel meteorites. It is mounted on a white circular field within a professional-style clear plastic protective slab. The interior card features a printed graphic of a night sky with a meteor streak on the obverse, and a full-colour photograph of a nebula on the reverse. The obverse is labelled Authentic Space Meteorite and provides the locality and approximate impact date.
