2014 Guernsey The Centenary of the First World War Brilliant Uncirculated Five Pound Coin in Presentation Folder - A 2014 Guernsey commemorative five pound coin issued to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War. The cupro-nickel coin is housed in its original dark green bi-fold card presentation folder with a glossy finish. The reverse of the coin depicts a standing British soldier in service dress resting on his rifle, with the inscribed text AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING WE WILL REMEMBER THEM, the dates 1914-1918, and the denomination £5. The folder front is printed with the title THE CENTENARY OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR 1914 - 100TH ANNIVERSARY - 1918 within a black double-lined border. The interior left panel contains a recessed pocket holding a paper insert printed with the fourth stanza of the poem For the Fallen by Laurence Binyon. The insert is printed on paper with an intentional aged and foxed aesthetic. The coin is held in a clear plastic capsule recessed into the right interior panel.
