A Collection of Russian Provisional Government State Credit Notes, 1917 - A collection of Russian Provisional Government State Credit Notes issued in 1917, featuring denominations of 1000 Rubles and 250 Rubles. The 1000 Ruble notes, commonly known as Duma Rubles (Pick P-37), display a central vignette of the Tauride Palace in Petrograd, identified by the inscription ГОСУДАРСТВЕННАЯ ДУМА, within ornate guilloché borders and multi-coloured underprinting in blue, pink, and green. The 250 Ruble notes (Pick P-36) feature the Bilibin-style double-headed eagle without imperial regalia, superimposed over a large swastika sun symbol, dated 1917. Special serial numbers present include the low-range number AA-002 and AB-122. All notes carry the facsimile signature of Governor Shipov and various cashiers.
