A French La Reine Limoges Porcelain Collection featuring Courting Scenes - This lot comprises a set of French porcelain items including a large circular cabinet plate, two smaller circular plates, and a decorative figurine in the form of a cradle telephone. Each piece is constructed from porcelain and features a deep red border decorated with gilded foliate and scroll motifs. The centres are finished with transfer-printed romantic vignettes depicting courting couples in garden settings. The telephone figurine includes a gilded handset and cradle with a matching scene to the base. The reverse of the plates features a green printed mark of a radiating sunburst above LIMOGES and FRANCE, and a black printed mark of a crown above a scroll reading LA REINE, with LIMOGES PORCELAIN and MADE IN FRANCE below.
