The clock is constructed with a decorative serpentine-profile base. The circular buff-coloured dial is set with black Arabic numerals and two winding apertures, housed behind a brass bezel with convex glass. The interior contains a mechanical spring-driven movement designed to strike on a coiled wire gong. The metal backplate of the movement is stamped with the characters E C H and the numerals 2058. A small circular mark is present above the centre, though the interior details are not legible as a name. The clock is fitted with a hinged rear wooden door.
