A Murano Italian Amber Glass Lidded Compote with Crimped Rim - An Italian Murano glass lidded compote, of bulbous form with vertical optic ribbing throughout the body and lid. The vessel is constructed from honey-amber glass and features a clear glass pedestal stem with a twisted design, terminating in a circular amber-coloured foot. The matching lid is decorated with a clear glass crimped flange and is surmounted by a deep reddish-amber spherical finial. An acid-etched mark is present on the top surface of the finial, comprising the word MURANO arranged in a downward-facing arc above the word ITALY. No other maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
