A Collection of Nine Metal Medallions Featuring Animal and Foliate Motifs - This lot comprises nine metal medallions, traditionally used as decorative horse brasses. The group features a variety of designs, including two circular pieces depicting a rearing horse within a border of punched holes and one with a fox head profile. Other motifs include a standing stag, a bird perched on a branch, a Scottish thistle with two leaves, and a stylised swan within a scalloped border. One piece is formed as a banded barrel with a central indentation, and the collection is completed by a plain, solid circular disc. The majority of the pieces are designed with a pierced rectangular loop at the top for attachment. No maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on any of the pieces.
