An Antique American Waltham 925 Silver Open-Face Pocket Watch - A late 19th-century open-face pocket watch, the circular case constructed from 925 silver with a hinged engine-turned back featuring a central vacant shield cartouche and a knurled border. The white enamel dial is set with black Roman numeral hour markers, a rail track minute ring, and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six o'clock position, fitted with gold-toned spade and whip-style hands. The interior houses a full-plate gilt manual wind movement. The movement plate is inscribed W A L T H A M , M A S S . , S A F E T Y P I N I O N , and the serial number 3 8 3 6 7 6 2 . Hand-scratched service marks including 7 5 5 are visible on the interior of the case lid. No other maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the case.
