UK 1994 D-Day 50th Anniversary 50 Pence Coin - A 1994 United Kingdom 50 pence coin, commemorative of the 50th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The reverse design features a schematic representation of the Allied invasion fleet with ships and aircraft heading toward the Normandy coast, with the denomination struck as 50. The coin is housed in a clear square plastic case containing a blue card insert. The insert is printed with two Union Jack flags and two ER monograms. Legible text on the insert reads BRITAIN, 50p, 50th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings Commemorative, 1944, and 1994.
