UK 1998 NHS 50th Anniversary 50 Pence Coin - A 1998 UK 50 pence coin, of equilateral-curve heptagonal form. The reverse design features a series of radiating lines with the acronym NHS repeated five times around the upper border. The central legend reads FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY with the denomination 50 PENCE located at the base. The coin is presented in a red card display mount within a clear plastic case. The card is printed with the text BRITAIN, 1948, 1998, and 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE. The design also incorporates two Union Flag motifs and the ER monogram.
