A Pair of Johann Maresch Austrian Terracotta Figural Groups - This lot comprises two Austrian terracotta figural groups, constructed from unglazed reddish-brown earthenware. The first group is a seated man of rural appearance, featuring a textured beard and a straw hat, wearing overalls and positioned on a naturalistic base with a fish and a remaining section of a fishing rod. The second group depicts a standing woman wearing a headwrap and shawl, holding a young girl by the shoulder. The underside of the seated figurine's base bears several impressed marks, transcribed as MUSTERSCHUTZ, the monogram JM³, the numeral 1, and the model number 5235. No maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the standing figurine. Estimated Height: 18cm - 20cm.
