A Terrestrial Desk Globe on a Metal and Wood Stand - A terrestrial desk globe featuring printed paper gores applied to a sphere, displaying a cream ground with political boundaries highlighted in pastel tones. The cartography includes markings for major cities, mountain ranges, and national borders, as well as the Equator, the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, and lines of longitude and latitude. The globe is mounted on a central metal axis with a decorative pointed finial and is supported by a circular, stepped metal base. This base is fixed to a dark-stained circular wooden plinth.
