The tool features a metal body with a black finish to the interior, fitted with a wooden front knob and a rear tote handle. It includes a metal iron and cap iron, secured by a lever cap. A knurled metal adjustment nut is positioned behind the frog. A rectangular label on the lever cap features a white graphic of a human foot above the printed text FOOTPRINT. The rear casting bears the struck characters MADE ENGLAND. No other maker's marks or signatures are visible.
