The obverse features a high-relief depiction of the Norse god Thor standing in a chariot drawn by two goats, brandishing a hammer amidst stylised lightning bolts. The upper field is struck with the runic characters ᚦ, ᚢ, and ᚱ, and the base is inscribed with the name THOR. The reverse features a textured surface with a central crowned shield bearing the quartered arms of the United Kingdom, positioned above the struck inscriptions THE ROYAL MINT, 10 OZ, 999.9, and FINE SILVER. A decorative knotwork band with draconic motifs is positioned at the base.
