A Mid-20th Century English Opaque Glass Thirty-Piece Service, Red Rose Pattern - This lot comprises a thirty-piece service constructed from opaque white glass. The set includes six dinner plates, six side plates, seven saucers, five teacups, two twin-handled bowls, a milk jug, a small bowl, a sauce boat, and a coordinating oval stand. Each component is decorated with transfer-printed motifs featuring red rose blossoms and buds with green and grey foliage. The plates and saucers are of circular form with slightly recessed centres and plain rims. The teacups and the creamer feature simple loop handles, while the soup bowls are designed with two integrated tab handles. The sauce boat is of elongated oval form with a single handle and a pinched pouring spout. The base of the pieces features an embossed mark comprising a central stylised bird motif surrounded by the text PHOENIX MADE IN ENGLAND. No other maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
