Three UK Britain's First Decimal Coin Sets - This lot comprises three original Royal Mint presentation sets. Each set is housed in a blue textured vinyl wallet with gold-blocked lettering reading BRITAIN'S FIRST DECIMAL COINS. The interior holds a white card mount containing five specimen coins: a bronze half penny, a bronze one penny, a bronze two pence, a cupro-nickel five pence, and a cupro-nickel ten pence. The obverses feature the second portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Arnold Machin. The reverses depict heraldic motifs including a crowned portcullis on the one penny, the Prince of Wales feathers on the two pence, a crowned thistle on the five pence, and a crowned lion on the ten pence. Each set includes a printed descriptive insert bearing the ROYAL MINT crest and text explaining the heraldic designs and the transition to decimalisation.
