UK 1965 and 1977 Commemorative Crowns - A collection of British commemorative crowns housed in individual plastic flips and a clear bag. The lot features the 1965 Winston Churchill commemorative issue and the 1977 Silver Jubilee issue. The 1965 crowns feature the laureate head of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse with the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F. D. and the profile portrait of Churchill on the reverse. The 1977 crowns depict the Queen on horseback for the obverse and a central floral design within a circular border on the reverse. The coins are of cupro-nickel construction. One coin is held in a blue card mount with the printed text TRUSTEE SAVINGS BANK. A white adhesive label is present in the bag reading COMMEMORATIVE CROWNS in black capital letters. Weight: 1434g.
