A Collection of Decorative Metal Horse Brasses Featuring Varied Motifs - This lot comprises an assortment of cast metal horse brasses, traditionally used as decorative ornaments for heavy horse harnesses. The collection features a variety of motifs, including a pheasant perched on a branch, a Scottish thistle within a foliate border, and a large stag in profile. Further designs include a German Shepherd dog head, a swan with detailed plumage, and two variations of a trotting horse within pierced borders. Also included is a plain circular disc and a barrel-form brass featuring horizontal raised bands and a central circular depression. Each piece is designed with a characteristic rectangular or curved pierced loop at the top for attachment to leather straps. The items are of cast construction with varying levels of surface relief and pierced openwork. No maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the front surfaces of any item.
