A Mahogany Veneered Mantle Clock with Winding Key - A vintage mechanical mantle clock of arched hat-top form, featuring a mahogany-veneered case with a wavy-fronted base. The circular dial is composed of silvered metal behind a hinged metal-rimmed glass bezel, featuring printed black Arabic numerals and black-finished metal spade hands. A single winding aperture is positioned between the 4 and 5 o'clock positions. The internal mechanical movement is spring-driven and mounted between two brass plates. The rear of the case opens to reveal a steel coil gong chime. The brass movement backplate is stamped with the characters 50H and 2053. A detached circular metal pendulum bob is present at the base of the interior, and the lot is accompanied by a brass-coloured metal winding key. No maker's names, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
