Utah 2023 Goldback 24ct Gold 1/4 Denomination Negotiable Instrument - A 2023 Utah Goldback, issued as a privately printed negotiable instrument. The note is constructed from a polymer film impregnated with a fine layer of gold. The design features a classical-style illustration of the figure Justitia (Justice) in a desert landscape, blindfolded and holding a set of scales and a sword. The obverse is printed with the text UTAH GOLDBACK, NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENT, and the denomination 1/4 within a circular vignette. Legible inscriptions on the left-hand side read US PATENT 10781520 | PRIVATELY ISSUED and NOT US DOLLAR LEGAL TENDER, alongside the vertical serial number AD68052. The lower border bears the text THIS GOLDBACK CONTAINS 1/4,000TH TROY OUNCE 24K GOLD. The GB logo and the copyright date © 2023 are also present. The reverse shows a mirror image of the design through the translucent film.
