Bidspirit auction | A Trio of Glazed Stoneware

A Trio of Glazed Stoneware Spirit Flagons, Tullamore Dew and Bulloch Lade - This lot comprises three stoneware spirit flagons of various glazes and designs. The first is a cream-coloured flagon featuring a green-glazed shoulder and handle. The front is transfer-printed in black with UISGE BAUGH A BLEND OF RARE IRISH WHISKEY SHIPPED AND BOTTLED BY TULLAMORE DISTILLERY DUBLIN PRODUCE OF IRELAND. An impressed green ceramic seal on the shoulder reads 1791 within a diamond motif. The second flagon is of similar cream stoneware with a bright green-glazed neck and handle, transfer-printed in red and black with OLD RARITY DE LUXE SCOTCH WHISKY above a crest and BULLOCH LADE & CO LTD GLASGOW SCOTLAND. The third flagon features a deep cobalt blue glazed shoulder and ball stopper, with a transfer-printed illustration of a pheasant in a landscape on the cream-coloured body. A printed signature reading P. F. ALEXANDER is visible below the pheasant illustration. No other maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
