A Pair of Enamel Shield Cufflinks with Maltese Cross Detail - A pair of cufflinks, each featuring a shield-shaped terminal with a bipartite design. The terminals are decorated with red and white guilloché enamel and overlaid with a cross with flared arms, surmounted by a crown. A blue enamel scroll at the base of each shield bears the gold-tone legend MALTA. The cufflinks are of metal construction with a gold-tone finish and feature fixed link bars with folding torpedo-style toggles. The reverse of the terminals and the link bars show a tarnished finish with a visible patina. No maker's marks, hallmarks, or purity stamps are visible on the items.
