A Mason's Ironstone Jug and Basin Set in Chartreuse Pattern - A two-piece ironstone wash set comprising a jug and a matching basin. The footed basin features a scalloped rim, and the bulbous jug is designed with a flared, scalloped mouth. Both components are finished in an off-white glaze and decorated with the Chartreuse pattern, which consists of transfer-printed and hand-painted floral sprays in green and teal tones with gilded accents to the foliage and rims. The underside of the basin bears a printed green mark featuring a crown above a banner reading IRONSTONE MADE IN ENGLAND, below which is a copyright symbol and the script text CHARTREUSE, followed by PRINTED AND HAND PAINTED. A single green character N is also present. The jug bears similar printed decoration but no legible marks are visible on its base.
