A 1908 Sheffield Sterling Silver Single Blade Folding Pocket Knife - A 1908 folding pocket knife, featuring sterling silver scales over a metal frame. The handle is of a simple, tapered form with a polished finish and includes a metal suspension ring at one end. A single steel blade is hinged at the opposite end. The handle scales bear a series of four struck hallmarks: a rectangular shield containing the letters J.R, a lion passant, a lowercase letter q in a shield, and a crown. These marks correspond to the maker John Round & Son Ltd, the sterling silver standard, the year 1908, and the Sheffield assay office.
