Bidspirit auction | A Pair of Sam Toft

A Pair of Sam Toft Prints, Including 'Mr Mustard' Triptych - This lot comprises two contemporary prints on paper by Sam Toft, featuring characters from the Mustards series. The first item is a vertical portrait of a figure in a large yellow raincoat with a dog at their feet and a bird perched on their head, set against a textured ochre background. The second item is a horizontal triptych print depicting three separate scenes: the character walking a dog under an umbrella, riding a bicycle with a dog in a front basket, and walking alongside a red cat. Both works are rendered in a whimsical, illustrative style with a characteristically muted palette of yellows and browns. Each print is mounted with a white card mat and housed in a matching light natural wood frame behind glass. A small fragment of white material is visible behind the glass at the bottom right of the vertical print's mat. No signatures or inscriptions are visible on the artwork itself. Width (horizontal frame): 53cm.
