Bidspirit auction | A Footed Ceramic Fruit Bowl

A Footed Ceramic Fruit Bowl Signed H. Mellor - A ceramic footed bowl of circular, deep form featuring a flared rim and a low pedestal base. The interior and exterior surfaces are decorated with a hand-painted fruit still life, depicting clusters of purple grapes, apples, blackberries, and acorns. This scene is set against a mottled autumnal background composed of yellow, green, and red brushwork. The bowl is finished with heavy gilding to the interior rim and the exterior foot. A hand-painted signature in dark lettering reading H. MELLOR is visible on the interior of the bowl, positioned above the central fruit grouping. A gold-tone band encircles the interior rim, and the pedestal base is similarly gilded. No factory backstamps or printed marks are visible on the underside or body of the piece.
