Baroness Staffordshire Hand Painted China Set and UK 1992 Silver Ten Pence Coin - This lot comprises a four-piece hand-painted ceramic dessert set and a cased commemorative coin. The ceramic set includes a large oval serving platter, two circular plates, and a tankard-style mug. Each piece is decorated with a hand-painted still life of autumn fruit, including peaches, grapes, and blackberries, set against a variegated background. The items feature heavy gilt borders. The serving platter bears a green printed backstamp on the base consisting of a crown device above the words BARONESS, Hand Painted China, by STAFFORDSHIRE CRAFTSMEN. One plate is signed in the lower right of the painted scene A. MELLOR. The lot also includes a UK 1992 Ten Pence Coin. The coin is a piedfort striking, featuring the heraldic lion passant guardant royally crowned on the reverse with the numeral 10. The coin is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule within a green velvet-lined presentation case. The inner lid of the case is printed with the Royal Mint coat of arms. A printed Certificate of Authenticity is included, identifying the piece as a 1992 SILVER PROOF PIEDFORT TEN PENCE COIN.
