A Collection of UK George V and George VI Silver Coins - A collection of circulating UK silver coins spanning the reigns of King George V and King George VI. The group includes a 1928 Florin (Two Shillings) featuring a crowned cruciform of shields and scepters on the reverse. Two One Shilling coins are present: a 1941 issue with an English reverse showing a lion atop a crown, and a 1940 issue with a Scottish reverse depicting a crowned figure holding a sword and scepter. Two Sixpence coins are included, dated 1928 and 1946; the 1946 example featuring the royal cypher GRI surmounted by a crown. Three Threepence coins dated 1931, 1935, and 1936 complete the set, each featuring three oak sprigs with acorns. The obverses, where visible, feature the portraits of the respective monarchs. Struck legends include GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX, FID:DEF, IND:IMP, and the denominations ONE FLORIN, ONE SHILLING, SIX PENCE, and THREE PENCE. These issues are struck in .500 fine silver.
