A horizontal metal bar travels through sliding sleeves on these rods, carrying a steel saw blade secured within a tensioned frame. The frame is fitted with a moulded black plastic handle. The rotating central section of the base includes an embossed scale graduated from 45 to 90 degrees for angle adjustment, and the bed of the saw is detailed with a series of diagonal cast ridges. Two metal vertical stops are positioned at the front edge of the bed. A cast mark is present on the central pivot area of the base, but the characters are not legible.
