The legends ELIZABETH II and AUSTRALIA are struck above the portrait, with the denomination 1 DOLLAR below. The initials JC are visible at the base of the neck. The reverse depicts a bounding red kangaroo at the centre, surrounded by radiating sunburst lines. The composition is enclosed within a wavy-line border inscribed AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO above and 2016 1oz 9999 SILVER below.
