A Royal Grafton Majestic Pattern Fine Bone China Tea Service - This lot comprises a fine bone china tea service in the Majestic pattern. The set includes a teapot with lid, a cream jug, teacups, saucers, and side plates. Each piece features a white glazed body decorated with a wide maroon band containing a repeating gold-tone geometric diamond motif. This is further accented by a gilded fringe or swag and tassel design. The teapot is of a pedestal form with a curved spout, C-scroll handle, and a lid topped with a pointed finial. The rims, handles, and foot rings are finished with gold-tone gilding. The base of the pieces features a black printed mark consisting of a crown above the words ROYAL GRAFTON, FINE BONE CHINA, MADE IN ENGLAND, all within a decorative scrolled border. Above this, the pattern name MAJESTIC is printed in capitals within quotation marks. Small hand-painted marks in red and gold are also present on the underside.
