Bidspirit auction | Two Folk Art Figurines Depicting

Two Folk Art Figurines Depicting Rural Scenes - This lot comprises two hand-modelled figurines constructed from unglazed clay. The first figure depicts a seated, bearded man wearing a brimmed hat and overalls. The subject is barefoot, seated upon a textured base designed to resemble a riverbank or outdoor setting. The scene includes a modelled fishing rod, a worm, and a single landed fish. The clothing features detailed texturing to simulate fabric and straw. The second figure depicts a standing woman and a young child. The woman wears a headwrap, a shawl, and a full-length textured dress with a pleated skirt. She is posed with her hand resting on the shoulder of the girl, who is looking upwards. Both pieces feature a uniform matte brown finish with extensive surface texturing throughout. No maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
