A Late 19th Century Oak Mantel Clock - A late 19th century mantel clock featuring a stained oak case of architectural form. The case is designed with a pedimented top adorned with a centrally carved fan motif, supported by two pairs of turned pilasters. It rests on a stepped plinth base with bracket feet. The circular white dial features black Roman numerals and red fleur-de-lis motifs at the hour positions, set with ornate pierced hands. A printed mark is visible centrally below the hand arbor consisting of two crossed arrows. The mechanical twin-train movement strikes on a coiled metal gong mounted to the interior backboard. The reverse of the case is fitted with a black-stained door and a rectangular aperture at the base. Width: 330mm Depth: 140mm.
