Bidspirit auction | A Pair of White Metal

A Pair of White Metal Pheasant Figurines - This lot comprises a pair of white metal pheasant figurines, each modelled in a standing posture with slightly raised wings and feathered tail plumes. The birds feature intricate cast detailing throughout the body, wings, and tails to simulate feathering. The heads are characterized by crested plumes and pointed beaks. Each bird is constructed in two parts, with a visible join around the lower neck and chest area, indicating that the heads are removable and the bodies function as hollow vessels. The figures stand on two three-toed bird feet with realistic texture. The surface of each piece is heavily textured from the casting process and exhibits a darkened, tarnished patina. No maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items.
