A Vintage Metal and Glass Cicada Form Lamp Cover (Rare) - A decorative lamp cover in the form of a cicada, constructed from openwork metal with inset amber glass. The metal housing features stylized organic apertures throughout the wings and body sections, through which the amber-coloured glass protrudes. The head section includes rounded projections representing eyes, with traces of red pigment visible. The reverse of the piece is fitted with a central metal cross-bar secured by two Phillips head screws, and contains remnants of fibrous white material within the interior. The glass is shaped to follow the contours of the metal frame. No maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item. Length: Approximately 15.2 cm Width: Approximately 8.3 cm.
