A 1904 Sheffield Sterling Silver and Mother-of-Pearl Folding Button Hook - A 1904 sterling silver folding button hook, featuring a retractable hook mechanism and carved handle scales. The silver hook is of curved form, tapering towards a hinged joint. The handle is composed of two mother-of-pearl scales secured with metal pins, terminating in a pointed, angular tip. One side of the handle is decorated with an engraved floral and foliate motif, including a central flower head and stylized fronds. The silver blade bears a series of four struck hallmarks: a rectangular punch containing the letters TM, a square punch featuring a lion passant, a shield-shaped punch featuring a crown, and a square punch containing a lowercase m.
