Bidspirit auction | An Ashley Fine Bone China

An Ashley Fine Bone China Tea and Dessert Service - A partial tea and dessert service in fine bone china, featuring transfer-printed romantic vignettes. Each central scene depicts a couple in 18th-century style dress within a garden setting. The service includes multiple dessert plates, teacups, and saucers. The decoration comprises elaborate gold-toned filigree scrollwork and shell motifs over a pale pink ground. The handles, rims, and foot rings are heavily gilded. A gold printed mark is present on the underside of the cups consisting of a crown symbol above the word 'Ashley' in cursive script. Below this are the legends 'FINE BONE CHINA', 'MADE IN ENGLAND', and '22 KT. GOLD'. A single letter 'L' is printed to the left of the crown. The interior of the cups is white with a gilded band.
