Spanish Army Spanish Grupo de Tiradores Ifni War Fez
Original fez that was worn by Spanish grupo de Tiradores colonial troops during the Ifni War, the series of armed incursions into Spanish West Africa by Moroccan insurgents that began in October 1957 and culminated with the abortive siege of Sidi Ifni. This is a real deal fez from the late colonial era. While it has some wear including some moth holes this is still a nice example of a very rare piece of colonial headdress.
